Welcome, I'm Caroline,
I know what it feels like to lead change when the pace is unrelenting, the politics are messy, and people are looking to you for answers you don’t yet have. I’ve been there - in the thick of it.
I’ve built my career in higher education because I believe in its power to transform lives and strengthen communities. Over 25 years, I’ve worked across five very different universities in the UK and Australia - each with their own cultures, structures and challenges. Along the way I’ve grown with and learned from inspirational leaders and diverse teams. I’ve held many roles within faculties, schools, research centres and central portfolios. I’ve designed and implemented large-scale change initiatives across organisational boundaries, led teams through complex transformation, and, like many colleagues, have been directly impacted by change programmes myself.
These experiences have given me a deep, people-first perspective on what it really takes to embed sustainable change in complex, devolved environments.
My leadership was forged during some of the toughest times - most notably serving as Chief of Staff to a Vice-Chancellor during the height of the COVID-19 crisis. I know first-hand the weight of responsibility, the sleepless nights and the fierce hope that things can be better.
People who work with me say what makes the difference is my ability to stay steady under pressure, communicate clearly and bring people with me - even in the hardest circumstances. They describe me as being thoughtful and courageous in difficult debates, a clear and open communicator, and someone who unites teams across boundaries. They say I bring perseverance, positivity and resilience - bouncing back from setbacks to find solutions - while never losing sight of people or integrity.
Clients tell me they value that I’ve lived the complexity, not just studied it. I’m known for creating calm, grounded spaces where leaders can pause, reflect and find clarity - and then translate that clarity into practical steps that move them forward.

My approach is people-first, steady and outcomes-focused: listening deeply, asking the questions that matter, and helping leaders cut through the noise to focus on what counts. I’m passionate about collaborating with individuals and teams to build in-house capability, organisational agility and sustainable transformation - always with a focus on the people side of change.
My mission is simple: to make change a better experience for leaders, their teams, and their communities. Because real transformation doesn’t come from plans or spreadsheets.
It comes from people. And that includes you.
